Joe has extensive experience in the areas of financial restructuring and commercial litigation. He also regularly counsels companies on a wide range of business and investment law matters, including mergers and acquisitions and licensing issues. Joe’s experience in the area of derivative transactions includes the development and implementation of compliance solutions for large international investment banks facing the regulatory requirements of Dodd-Frank and EMIR. In his supervisory role at Washton & Gitto, Joe serves as the hiring member for all personnel and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all employees.

Joe received his B.A. from Skidmore College and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he served as Executive Articles Editor on the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. He was formerly associated with Paul Hastings LLP and Nixon Peabody LLP. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States district courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
